Casino Intrusion

I watched Kevin Mitnick on day 2 of the WPGC hack into an electronics website and change the price of an item for sale – oops! This was not a demo! He then showed us how popular peer-to-peer software is being used by ordinary people to access classified documents. Right in front of our eyes we saw how easy it was to access confidential casino documents from some high profile casinos.

Intrusion of confidential casino information can be avoided by using a system like ICOS. ICOS has a feature called “Dynamic Forms” which allows you to create casino forms that are a saved in a secure electronic database instead of paper forms or electronic documents such as Word or Excel. A secure electronic database is not subject to same risks as paper and electronic documents.

The system provides many other advantages e.g. Casinos using ICOS are using dynamic forms to create all their audit and review forms which provides the following advantages:

-    It allows them to search for audits based on certain criteria that would otherwise be impossible when using paper or electronic documents e.g. Audits conducted on or by particular persons, audits for a particular date range etc.
-    The ability to run Collusion Reports on all dynamic forms.
-    The ability to make “Dynamic Forms” form part of a work-flow process e.g. when a review is done that requires feedback from a department head, the department head will be notified automatically of a breach in procedure and be required to provide feedback by a certain time-frame.
